SEL was founded by Louise Carstairs as a result of growing flowers in her farm fields in Fife, where she began to create dried, handmade floral arrangements.

The company grew from a cottage industry to a substantial business supplying UK multiple retailers with an extensive range of floral based décor and home accessories.

Originally founded in 1987 as a dedicated floral supplier, the company evolved from 2008 onwards after recruiting new team members with a broader industry knowledge to cover all types of Decorative Home Accessories, Decorative Garden, Storage, and Seasonal Products, but still with a very strong emphasis on floral which remains our core business.

The creation of SEL Hong Kong allowed us to further develop and grow the business with the ability to ship to retailers all over the world on an FOB basis. Our extensive warehousing facilities in Scotland allow us to offer a weekly delivered service to our UK customers who prefer the convenience and cost advantages of a just in time  service.

Above all our core skills remain – sourcing new, interesting, on-trend products, bespoke floral design and product development, experienced importing, quality control, stock holding and logistics, as well as dedicated sales and account management.
